  1. Older kids love to have money on their own to buy things they like. I gave my older Grandson $25dollars I save on dimes throughout the year it took a while to count and he was soooooo happy(I wrapped it in a nice tiny pillow case and handed to him). I also make him a personal card on Walgreens with our picture.

  2. I love the canvas idea!!! I got my grandmother a huge picture frame collage ($20 from Ross) and put pics of her when she was young and all her kids/grand/great grandkids.

  3. I donโ€™t care for gifts either, for our white elephant gift exchange this year I got a huge set of new tuber wear and couldnโ€™t be happier!! The joys of adulthood…

  4. I like to give mostly homemade gifts. It means more to me. It makes it enjoyable to think about someone as you create a fun gift for them. This year I am making quilled snowflakes for my girl friends. They take a lot of time but they are Beautiful๐Ÿ’—! I learned how to make them when I was a teen and my mom took a quilling class. We got really good because one year my mom decided to decorate the tree in white lights and quilled snowflakes. We spent a whole year making them and the tree was beautiful. Plants are another fun and cheap thing to give. If you take a cutting off your plants and start them out so they are nice healthy plant. I think this with care instructions is a great gift!

  5. Making coordinating scarves with solid then patterned fleece. I have a light grey matched with a medium grey plaid scarf. Super inexpensive and soft and warm for cold weather. I stitch in one scarf "loved and hugged" and the other "hug and love" to remind them that their scarf is a hug from me. For more whimsical and youthful scarf – I make 5 inch "sock monkey" print and for more dress up for women, leopard matched with camel color or brown or a blue or pink floral print. This is my first year so I'm not sure how they'll like them yet. Each set is about $2.00 to $4.00

  6. We make several large batches of homemade salsa and give everyone on our list a pint of Salsa and a bag of chips. YUM! ๐Ÿ˜Š It costs about $3-$4. Thank you for all these great ideas!๐Ÿ˜Š Merry CHRISTmas!โค

  7. I liked your ideas, thanks for the printable cake recipe! Personally I want nothing for Christmas, I have everything I need and everyone around me does also, but people are in different phases of life and consumerism so the cycle continues to a point anyway.

  8. My mom is hard to buy for, so every year I go to Aldi and buy cashews, dates, dried apricots, almonds, mixed nuts and some chocolates and put it together in a basket (that she always returns to me, saying she doesn't need it, lol!).

  9. First time seeing your YouTube channel & really enjoyed it. I appreciate your good attitude, honesty about the products & also your gift ideas. My husband & I are senior citizens & I also appreciate the excellent "minimalist" gift ideas. I will be a regular viewer!

  10. Costco has a great set of hand soaps right now. 4 great sized in amber glass jars with a cute label. They're $10 for a set of 4. I divided those up and bundled them up. Practical and inexpensive!

  11. When I was well enough I made jams and sweet pickles for Christmas presents, and this year I'm making a hat for a friend that has cochlear implants, and a blanket for my daughter,

  12. We follow the four-gift rule and give our kids something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read. Simple. Christmas should be more than a crazy over-gifting (I'm German, that word doesn't exist, I think)…

  13. I LOVE to receive very practical gifts, like…index cards, hangers, gel pens, lip balm, . Although I was offended when my 2nd husband gave me a plunger, a 33 gallon trash can and a rake for xmas.

  14. I'm making tote bags out of worn out blue jeans. Who doesn't need a strong bag they can place in the bottom of a suitcase to bring back all those vacation gifts and goodies? โค๐ŸŒ…๐ŸŒต
